The amazing review of "Paper Towns." This awesome book written by John Green is, I think, the best book I have ever read. I loved the themes it presented and the misery it produced to make you never want to stop reading. This book takes place in Orlando, Florida. The main character of the book is a teenager boy called Quentin who falls madly in love with another teenage girl called Margo, who is also a main character. In this story the main conflict is that Margo escaped from her home leaving some clues behind, so Quentin decides to follow the clues and try to find her because he is crazy for her and madly in love. I think this book is totally worth reading, personally I loved this book because the theme of the book is completely different from every other book I have read and its also a very original book, you won't find this same theme in another book. I also loved that this book was very detailed and perfectly described everything, so it's easy to understand and make kind of a movie in your head while reading it. This book has original characters and some are easy to relate but others, it's like how they feel and think is completely different from what you think. I would recommend this book to everyone that loves stories about love, mystery and a lot of excitement, if your one of this people, yo would really enjoy it. |

Toni Cade Bambara wrote a not very enjoyable story where a character changes suddenly at the end, making the main character, Squeaky, an unbelievable character. My main focus in this story is Squeaky because I didn't like her personality. She acts so selfish and mean, she is very brazen, and always thinks that she is the best and better than everyone else.
This story is not very interesting, it doesn't leave a meaning, and it's not very enjoyable to read because it's not comfortable to read about someone that says she's better than everyone else. Squeaky is very brazen and always says she's the best and perfect. This girl is also very selfish, so I think she's the type of girl you wouldn't like to be friends with (that's the way I see it) so it's also not the type of girl you want to read about. The main character, Squeaky, is an unbelievable character. Squeaky is an unbelievable character because she's a very rude girl the whole story, and suddenly, at the end she changes. I'm not very convinced about her changing her mind about Gretchen, but at least I gained more respect towards her, even though I didn't change my opinion about her. Squeaky isn't that great and perfect person as she says she is, so this story is not very enjoyable to read. Her drastic change at the end made me respect her a little bit more, maybe everyone can change and I should give her the opportunity, but I never changed my opinion after reading this story. |
